Blue and Red Birthday Card

Hello! Today was my first day off since last Thursday and I definitely needed the break. It's been awhile since I've stood for long periods of time working in retail. Hopefully I'll get used to it again soon. It has been nice getting out of the house and visiting with other humans for a change.

My goal today was to make a card for my Mother's birthday and this Blue and Red Birthday Card is what I made for her. Blue is her favorite color and this red flower has been sitting on my craft desk just waiting to be used. The patterned papers are from the Americana paper pad by Pebbles (2013). I love how the little flowers have red centers, it really helped to tie everything together. To finish the card I added some twine and a butterfly charm. The finished size is 4.50" x 6.25". Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Bird Card Remake

Hello and happy Tuesday! I started my part-time job yesterday and we were busy all day getting ready for Black Friday. It's been awhile since I've stood on feet for over six hours straight but it wasn't too bad. Just wish me luck with the opening shift on Black Friday!!!

One of my favorite things to do is remake cards using the same layout and details but changing the papers and colors. So, I picked one of my favorite cards (click here for original) and decided to make it in Autumn/Fall colors. Papers selected for this Bird Card Remake include: Plaid by Lawn Fawn, Red Floral by Pebbles and Woodgrain by Stampin' Up!. The Hello sentiment is by TPC Studio and three brown sequins finished it off. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Bountiful Owl Cards

This year I didn't make as many Thanksgiving cards as usual. It seems crafty mojo and time were both issues. Last night I realized just how few cards I had, so I quickly made these two Bountiful Owl Cards to get in the mail this morning. The image is one I recently bought from Unity Stamps called Bountiful Owl and it was colored with Copic markers. The stamp set comes with thirteen different sentiments to choose from. With time being a factor I went with simple layouts and paper scraps from the Woodland Forest paper pad by Pebbles. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Ornamental Newton Card

Hello crafty friends! This month I've been busy looking for a part-time job to help out with the end of year expenses. Thankfully I found a temporary job and I start next week. I'm excited to get out of the house and mingle with people during the holiday season. Spending too much time alone has gotten pretty boring over the last couple of months. Now that I can cross finding a job off my list hopefully I can get back to crafting.

To make this Ornamental Newton Card I used the challenge colors from Inky Paws to use Red, Green, Tan and Black. This is the first time I inked up the Ornamental Newton stamp by Newton's Nook. I bought it last year but never used it, that happens more than I should admit. Anyway it's really cute and easy to color. I used Copic markers to color the image and then used a cross stitched oval die by My Favorite Things. The plaid paper is by Lawn Fawn and I used some retired scrap black and white patterned paper by Stampin' Up!. Instead of stamping a sentiment I decided to use the Merry Christmas paper by The Paper Studio. A little twine bow and three white sequins finished off this card and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!
